I am Karyn Segers, a professional therapist with over 17 years of experience, specialising as an Outcome-Focused, Integrative and Psychodynamic Energy Psychotherapist, Psychotherapist, Hypno-Psychotherapist, Inner Child Healing Therapist, Trainee Clinical Supervisor, Energy Coach, Reiki Master Practitioner and Teacher, and Soul and Energy Healer. I aim to support clients in their self-discovery, healing, and empowerment journey.

My passion is working with clients on a multidimensional level, bringing integrative, holistic, transformational, and progressive healing, development, and enlightenment.

I focus on resolving deep-rooted patterns, entanglements, unconscious/hidden blocks, past life issues, energetic family entanglements, inner child healing, spiritual soul healing, and energy healing to overcome mental and emotional health challenges, trauma-related challenges, and mind-body and energy healing. I support individuals in awakening to their truth, soul’s purpose, and potential through self-empowerment. I work with individuals of all ages, ranging from 18 to 94 years old.

My journey as a therapist began with Reiki and energy healing, which led me to become a Reiki Practitioner and later a Reiki Master Teacher. I found a deep connection with working on an energy level, allowing for healing on physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual levels. I trained in various forms of healing and holistic, and yet while reiki and energy healing proved beneficial for many individuals, I recognised the need for a more pragmatic approach to address deeply rooted issues, one that empowers individuals to participate actively in their own healing process rather than adopting a passive role.

Having always been drawn to the psychological elements of human nature, I trained as a Psychotherapist/Hypnotherapist and Energy Psychotherapist, enabling me to integrate my extensive energy healing skills and experience seamlessly into my psychotherapeutic practice. I also created and developed an Inner Child Healing program that I now incorporate into my psychotherapeutic practice. I am currently working towards my Diploma in Clinical Supervision.

As I progressed on my healing journey, I appreciated the power of holistic and multi-dimensional healing, drawing from my experiences, natural healing talents, personal growth, discoveries, and years of training.

I am committed to assisting people in overcoming obstacles related to their mental, emotional, physical and energetic health in a comprehensive way, understanding the difficulties of going it alone. I find the most satisfaction in my job when I see my clients overcome obstacles and realise their full potential. Everyone has the capacity to heal and awaken to their true purpose and potential if they are willing to commit to the process of their healing journey.

I grew up in South Africa and have lived in the United Kingdom for over 20 years. I am based in Cumbria, Lake District and offer in-person sessions in Ulverston, Cumbria, UK, as well as online Zoom sessions and remote healing sessions worldwide.

MY APPROACH :

I adopt a holistic, transformative, and multidimensional approach to therapy. My practice incorporates integrative and psychodynamic elements, emphasising outcome-focused psychotherapy. This means collaborating with clients to establish specific goals for treatment and regularly monitoring progress. I draw on various therapeutic techniques to assist clients in achieving these goals, tailoring my approach to meet their unique needs.

In addition, I integrate principles from cognitive-behavioural, humanistic, and psychodynamic therapies, addressing the emotional, behavioural, and cognitive aspects of my clients’ experiences. This flexible framework allows for a personalised therapeutic experience, fostering a deeper understanding of the underlying factors contributing to each client’s challenges.

I also incorporate psychodynamic principles, exploring the unconscious mind’s influence on thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. By bringing unconscious conflicts to light, I aim to enhance self-awareness and understanding, ultimately promoting healing and growth.

ENERGY PSYCHOTHERAPY, PSYCHOTHERAPY AND HYPNOTHERAPY

With over 17 years of psychotherapeutic experience, I am a highly skilled Outcome-focused, Integrative and Psychodynamic Energy Psychotherapist, Psychotherapist, Hypno-Psychotherapist. Other psychotherapeutic therapies include past-life regression therapy and ancestral healing.

My professional psychotherapeutic qualifications include an Energy Psychotherapy DIP, PG DIP in Outcome Oriented Psychotherapies, Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy (Hypno-psychotherapy) DIP, Intermediate Clinical Hypnotherapy Cert, NLP Practitioner Cert, and Psychology DIP.

As an Accredited member of the UKCP (United Kingdom Council of Psychotherapists), a fellow member of ACEP (Association for Comprehensive Energy Psychology), EPN (Association for Comprehensive Energy Psychology), NSTT (National Society of Talking Therapies), and a registered member of Awaken School of Outcome-Oriented Psychotherapies Ltd, I am committed to providing effective and compassionate care to individuals aged 18 and upwards, various nationalities and cultures.

CLINICAL SUPERVISION

As I pursue my Diploma in Clinical Supervision, I bring a diverse skill set and experience to support other therapists in reaching their full potential. I am taking on new supervision clients (therapists, trainee therapists, and student therapists) to fulfil my training hours and complete my diploma.

INNER CHILD HEALING THERAPY

To become a UKCP-accredited Psychotherapist, I underwent therapy myself to gain insight into the client experience. However, I found that I was unable to overcome specific childhood experiences through various forms of psychotherapy. This realisation led me to develop my own tools to address my unresolved inner child wounds.

Subsequently, I created and developed an Inner Child Healing Therapy program in 2012, which I currently use in Inner Child Healing Therapy and personalised one-on-one Inner Child Healing Courses, with over 12 years of experience. This program enabled me to address issues that had previously persisted unresolved, even with the help of a therapist. Although I was not actively promoting it at the time, an increasing number of clients sought me out specifically for ‘inner child healing’.

I have since utilised these techniques with clients, resulting in significant positive shifts and progress, surpassing that achieved through other forms of therapy. Drawing on my psychotherapeutic training and personal experiences, I combined and developed these techniques rooted in my own journey. I am grateful for the opportunity to share these experiences and techniques with others on their healing journey.

COACHING AND PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT

I have over 16 years of experience in coaching and personal development. From 2008 to 2011, I trained and worked as an Energy Coach with Inugo, where I provided a unique blend of energy healing, personal coaching, and start-up business development to coaches at Shirlaws, UK. Additionally, I gained valuable experience coaching corporate employees using equine-assisted techniques as a trainee associate with Lead Change. Over time, my Energy Coaching approach has evolved into a more comprehensive, holistic, transformative, and integrative method.

Alongside Enery Coaching, I offer motivational breakthrough coaching upon request. I integrate a holistic and energy-focused approach to support individuals in achieving their personal and professional goals.

ENERGY, REIKI AND SOUL HEALING 

My extensive experience in energy and Reiki healing ( (Usui Shiki Ryoho – System of Natural Healing) spans over 26 years, during which I have worked professionally and privately with individuals ranging from 2 to 94 years old, including pregnant women. As a Lead Reiki Practitioner, I held a 2-year post with St Mary’s Hospice in Ulverston, (2015-2017), where I provided Reiki to cancer and end-of-life patients at the Hospice and worked alongside traditional nurses at the NHS Oncology Unit in Barrow in Furness.

 Additionally, I have over 18 years of experience as a Reiki Master Teacher, offering Reiki Training Courses and Attunements to a professional level of safe ethics.

My Remote Distant Energy Healing, and Remote Soul Healing and Clearing services have reached individuals worldwide, including in South Africa, Australia, Europe, and America.

My Reiki qualifications include Hands-on Healing Therapy Cert, Usui Shiki Ryoho First Degree Level in the Usui System of Natural Healing Cert, Usui Shiki Ryoho Second Degree Level in the Usui System of Natural Healing Cert, Advanced Reiki Training in the Usui System of Natural Healing Cert, and Reiki Master Teacher Degree in the Usui System of Natural Healing Cert.

REFLEXOLOGY

Professionally qualified reflexologist with over 18 years of experience. I have recently retired from reflexology.

Reflexology Qualifications include Anatomy and Physiology DIP, Reflexology Level 3 Cert. IIHHT.
