Business Terms and Conditions: Awaken Inner Sense Ltd
1. IDENTITY & PROFESSIONAL STATUS
1.1 The Practise: Awaken Inner Sense Ltd is the legal entity through which all services are provided. Karyn Segers and Awaken Inner Sense are trading names of Awaken Inner Sense Ltd.
1.2 The Practitioner: Karin Segers (practising as Karyn Segers) is a Full Clinical UKCP Registered Psychotherapist (No: 2011162587).
1.3 Company Details: Awaken Inner Sense Ltd is registered in England and Wales (No: 12758826). Registered Office: C/O Appleseeds Health Shop, 59B Market Street, Ulverston, Cumbria, LA12 7LT.
1.4 Contractual Limit: By engaging in our services, you acknowledge that the professional relationship and any associated liability are strictly between the Client and Awaken Inner Sense Ltd.
2. THE CLINICAL CONTAINER: PHILOSOPHY OF WORK
2.1 My work is built on the foundation of a “Clinical Container.” Deep neuro-somatic and energy psychotherapy requires a space that is exceptionally steady and predictable.
2.2 To ensure the efficacy and safety of the process, sessions are held on a fixed weekly or fortnightly basis. This consistency allows your nervous system to settle into the work, knowing the space is guaranteed.
3. FEES & FINANCIAL COMMITMENT
3.1 Securing the Space: To honour the dedicated nature of this work, full payment is required at the time of booking. This payment secures your clinical appointment or assessment in the diary.
3.2 Intensive Blocks: For therapy containers or blocks, payment must be settled according to the agreed schedule (upfront or via an approved plan). Access to the clinical space is granted once payment has been cleared.
4. FIXED CONTAINER POLICY (Refunds & Postponements)
To maintain the professional integrity and the dedicated nature of this specialist work, Awaken Inner Sense Ltd operates a Fixed Container Policy:
4.1 A Dedicated Space: Once a session or block is confirmed, that time is allocated exclusively to you. It cannot be repurposed or offered to others. Therefore, all bookings are final, and fees are non-refundable.
4.2 No Postponements: To protect the momentum of your transformation, sessions cannot be moved, rescheduled, or credited to a future date.
4.3 Non-Attendance: If you are unable to attend a scheduled session, the “container” remains held for you. However, the session is considered used, and the fee remains due. This policy applies regardless of the notice given, as your slot represents a dedicated clinical resource.
5. ATTENDANCE & ENVIRONMENT
5.1 Punctuality: Sessions begin and end at the scheduled time to protect the clinical diary. If you arrive late, we will work with the remaining time available.
5.2 Remote Sessions: It is your responsibility to ensure a stable internet connection and a private, safe, and confidential environment. While we use securely configured, therapeutically protected platforms (Zoom), the Client acknowledges the inherent risks of digital communication and is responsible for their own device security.
5.3 Ad-Hoc Sessions: If a fixed commitment is not clinically indicated, ad-hoc sessions may be agreed upon. These remain subject to the same “Fixed Container” rules once a date is booked.
6. CLINICAL SUITABILITY & SAFETY
6.1 Assessment: All pathways begin with a mandatory 90-minute assessment. This fee is non-refundable as it covers the specialist clinical time provided.
6.2 Referrals: If, following the assessment, it is clinically determined that your needs require a different level of care or a different clinical specialism for your safety, I will provide appropriate referrals to support your ongoing journey. The assessment fee remains non-refundable as it covers the professional clinical time and expertise already rendered.
6.3 Medical Disclaimer: Clinical therapy and neuro-somatic work are powerful tools for transformation, but they are not a substitute for emergency medical or psychiatric care. Awaken Inner Sense Ltd does not provide a 24-hour crisis service. If you are in an acute crisis or at risk of harm to yourself or others, you must contact emergency services or your GP immediately.
7. PROFESSIONAL CONDUCT & SAFETY
7.1 The Therapeutic Alliance: To protect the safety of the clinical container, I reserve the right to terminate a session or a clinical relationship immediately if there is evidence of abusive behaviour, threats, intoxication, or if the Client is in an acute crisis that requires emergency medical intervention beyond the scope of this practice.
7.2 Termination Fees: In the event of such a termination for safety or conduct reasons, no refunds will be issued for the remaining sessions in a block or container.
7.3 Confidentiality of Space: It is the Client’s responsibility to ensure they are in a private, safe, and confidential space for the duration of their sessions. This is essential for the depth of work we undertake.
8. SPIRITUAL & INTUITIVE CONSULTATIONS
8.1 Payment: Full payment is required at booking. “Buy Now, Pay Later” options are available.
8.2 No-Cancellation Policy: All psychic and intuitive bookings are final. We operate a strict no-refund, no-cancellation, and no-postponement policy.
8.3 Legal Status: In accordance with UK law, these services are provided for scientific insight, personal curiosity, and entertainment purposes only.
8.4 Clinical Separation: These services are entirely distinct from my regulated clinical practice as a UKCP Registered Psychotherapist. They do not constitute medical or psychological treatment.
